We recently introduced limit orders on Interface. Limit order is an instruction to buy or sell an asset at a specific price, and it only executes if the market reaches that price. Depending on your trading strategy, resources and involvement, you may want to rely on a smart contract to trade an asset for you – take profit when the price doubles, or buy more when it drops.
Why use limit orders: – Avoid overpaying and underselling – Not needing to watch the chart 24/7, let the smart contract do the job for you – Reduce emotional bias – it's easy to panic and hesitate when price starts to change. A limit order creates a healthy, intentional friction.
As I was thinking about how to communicate this feature, one idea kept coming up: patience. Limit orders enable deliberate decisions rather than impulsive reactions, which reminded me of something completely outside trading – how you treat an expensive glass of wine. You don't rush it.
This parallel inspired a short commercial with the tagline: Patience reveals character. Let it breathe.
It brings together 3 ideas: 1. Expensive wine: we let it breathe to fully enjoy later 2. Character: both characteristics of the wine and the temperament of the trader 3. Limit orders: a way to act intentionally, waiting for the price you chose
